Ingredients
-
3 cups mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, pecans)
-
1½ tbsp Golden Age tallow, melted
-
2 tbsp maple syrup
-
1 tsp smoked chipotle powder
-
½ tsp smoked paprika
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp kosher salt
Directions
Preheat the oven to 325°F.
In a large bowl, whisk together the melted beef tallow, maple syrup, smoked chipotle powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt.
Add the nuts and toss until evenly coated.
Spread the nuts in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Bake for 12 minutes, then remove from the oven and stir.
Return to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes, until lightly toasted and fragrant.
Remove from the oven and let cool completely to allow the nuts to fully crisp.
Store at room temperature in an airtight container.
Recipe Note
You can swap walnuts, hazelnuts, or macadamia nuts in place of one of the mixed nuts.
